iPhone Macro Shots

I removed a lens from an old cd-rom drive and taped it front of my iPhone lens. I used a piece of black electrical tape of which I created a hole slightly smaller than the lens with a leather hole punch. I've taken hundreds of photos. Here's some of my favourites:

Under the train trestle

The Regina bike path runs at least 35 kilometres. At one point, it runs under a train trestle where I took this picture. Normally, it is very dark and gloomy under there but I happened to be there when the sun was reflecting off the creek. I love how the rust bleeds onto the graffiti.

A Blog a Day

I've started quite a few blogs in my time and I've never managed to blog on a regular basis. Although, I was blogging before it was called blogging. Back in the 90's, I created an online journal of my travel adventures which I called The Nepenthe Journal. That soon evolved into a travel journal for other travel writers. Someday, I'll upload the archive.

Anyways, I think with this blog, I am going to attempt to upload a picture a day from my iPhone, a photo-blog if you will, in order to hone my photographic eye. I think I am so attuned to art that I often take it for granted and pass on by. This exercise will force me to stop and relish my world more.
